Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Solution (CVD)
Back List
Introduction
- Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) constitute an umbrella term for all disorders affecting the heart and blood vessels, mainly covering coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease and heart failure. Characterized by high incidence, high disability rate and high mortality rate, CVDs rank as the leading cause of death worldwide.
- JOINSTAR's Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Solution provides a full-course management detection panel covering from myocardial injury to heart failure. Core products include hs-cTnI, BNP/NT-proBNP, and ST2, covering acute myocardial infarction diagnosis, heart failure risk assessment, and prognostic monitoring, S100β for brain injury.
- JOINSTAR provides complete CVD testing solution support covering Jet-iStar and JC platform.
Clinical Applications
- Cardiac biomarkers are essential tools for cardiovascular disease diagnosis and management. High-sensitivity cTn (hs-cTn) offers higher sensitivity, specificity, and analytical precision compared to conventional cTn, with a minimum detection limit reduced to 10-100 times that of traditional cTn. BNP and NT-proBNP are increasingly used to establish the presence and severity of heart failure, applied in screening, diagnosis, risk stratification, and prognosis assessment. Soluble ST2 reflects myocardial fibrosis and remodeling, the core pathological foundation of heart failure, and is used for risk stratification and guiding treatment adjustment.
- Emergency Department: Rapid differential diagnosis of chest pain patients and exclusion of acute myocardial infarction.
- Cardiology Department: Heart failure screening, diagnosis, prognosis assessment, and drug efficacy monitoring.
- Chest Pain Center: Rapid diagnosis and risk stratification of acute coronary syndrome.
